I see Adults from ages 18-65 years old. I have been practicing as a PMHNP for Adults in Oregon since 2004 and as an RN since 1988. I am returning Mid Valley Counseling Center provider, having been here in the past from 2005-2015.

I have strong experience in treating mood disorders like Depression and Bipolar D/O, and also Anxiety disorders, Childhood or Adult Trauma, PTSD and ADHD, although I work with patients with almost every psychiatric need. I have seen medications, specific supplements and focused psychotherapies work effectively in these conditions to help many people finally feel well most of the time.

I have a client-centered approach to therapy - I believe that clients are the best experts on themselves. Each client has strengths that will help them work through their life challenges. I see myself as a facilitator rather than a director. I prefer to empower my client while I collaboratively move therapy along. I encourage and assist the development of self-confidence and self-support, as well as a healthy interdependence with the important people in my client's lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy , Ego State Therapy, Relational Therapy, Art Therapy and a variety of other therapy styles to assist my clients. I also offer pet therapy with my French bulldogs when we are able to be in person.

Currently all sessions are via telehealth due to the Governor's declared State of Emergency.

I am board certified with the ANCC, EMDR Certified and I am licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications in Oregon.
