I am a recent graduate of Gonzaga University's PMHNP program. I am board-certified and prescribe medication. My medical experience with mental health comes from work as an EMT on an ambulance, as a staff nurse at Oregon State Hospital, in alcohol and drug detox, with active duty military personnel, and crisis stabilization for serious and persistent mental illness. I see children ages 4+ for ADHD medication management only and children 12+ through adults for general psychiatry. I see adults through the lifespan for general psychiatry.
I use the latest clinical-trial validated screening to predict which medications will work and genetic testing to avoid problems with medication side effects. I use natural treatments including vitamins and herbs to augment or replace pharmaceutical drugs. Most importantly, I listen to you to find out what you want out of treatment.
I use cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) as a method of treating insomnia, anxiety, and depression. This can often help people decrease their use of benzodiazepine, sleep, and antidepressant medications. My goal is to reduce side effects and make treatment easier to live with as a quality-of-life issue.
I see patients at the main location on D Street in Salem on Mondays and Wednesdays, and at 729 Molalla Ave., Oregon City, OR 97045 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
