I work with children, youth and families in a private group practice and I also teach at George Fox University. I have experience working in hospitals and other residential facilities. I have been licensed in the State of Oregon since 1996. My goal is to clarify problems and provide diagnoses in an objective and straight-forward manner and maintain an atmosphere of respect and safety. The intent is to facilitate healing and health by utilizing a full range of psychotherapeutic and medical interventions.
Therapy is collaborative, direct, and tends to be short-term. Interventions include developmental, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and existential. I work closely with medical providers when appropriate and utilize the full range of personality, cognitive and neuropsychological tests when needed.
