I earned my doctorate degree at George Fox University and worked in a variety of settings before beginning private practice in 2008. I currently see adolescents (ages 14 up) and adults. I work to help my client's face issues including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family of origin issues, trauma and surviving past abuse. Additionally, I work with people who have difficulty forming safe and healthy relationships due to unresolved hurt and trauma from the past. I also have specialized training in treating people struggling with substance abuse/dependency, or those affected by someone with these struggles. I see a variety of therapy techniques that best fit each client's individual needs and their desired treatment outcomes. I respect and value my clients' views of their needs, and work collaboratively with them to form treatment goals. I focus on developing a therapeutic relationship with my clients that fosters a safe, nurturing environment allowing each person to heal and reach desired treatment outcomes. Therapy can be short-term, but is often long-term depending upon the needs of the each client.
